Olivia Colman & Alexander Skarsgård’s Weirdest Movie Yet Officially Debuts First Trailer
Developed over time first seen 2 hours ago
The first trailer has been released for *Wicker*, a comedic fantasy starring Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård. The film follows a medieval fisherwoman who seeks a husband despite her persistent fish smell, then falls for a living wicker man created by a local basket-weaver; it explores romance, social disapproval and patriarchal attitudes through an intentionally absurd premise.
Peter Dinklage and Elizabeth Debicki also feature, with Skarsgård’s wicker character realised using work by effects artist Joe Dunckley and Wētā Workshop. *Wicker* premiered at Sundance to strong reviews and has a 91% Rotten Tomatoes score; Black Bear will release it in selected cinemas on 23 October, followed by a wider release on 30 October.
