One Nation leads Labor on primary vote as Albanese’s favourability falls

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation has edged ahead of Labor in primary vote polling, while Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s net favourability has fallen to its lowest level as prime minister. The results point to mounting pressure on the government amid voter concerns about the economy and cost of living.

In a poll of 1,000 people, One Nation recorded 29 per cent and Labor 28 per cent, though Labor led One Nation 52 to 48 on a two-party-preferred basis. Albanese’s net favourability fell 10 points to minus 27, while Treasurer Jim Chalmers fell nine points to minus 23; cost of living was the leading concern, cited by 73 per cent.
