Nacho Vigalondo’s 2017 film *Colossal* is coming to Paramount+ in the United States on 1 October. The unusual monster-film premise turns into a dark comedy about alcoholism and toxic relationships, using a creature’s attacks on Seoul to reflect the main character’s personal troubles.

Anne Hathaway plays Gloria, who discovers that her movements are mirrored by a monster, while Jason Sudeikis, Dan Stevens and others round out the cast. Critics gave the film an 82% score on Rotten Tomatoes from more than 260 reviews, while its audience score was 58%; it earned about $3 million domestically during its limited cinema release.
