The original cast of Rent will reunite on 26 October for a one-night-only 30th anniversary benefit concert, performing Jonathan Larson’s musical in full. The sold-out event will raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, with a livestream available for audiences unable to attend in person.

Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Wilson Jermaine Heredia and Fredi Walker are among the returning cast members, alongside numerous alumni. Original director Michael Greif and music supervisor Tim Weil will also return, while the concert will feature members of the original band; Rent won the 1996 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, awarded posthumously after Larson’s death.
