Original SLIPKNOT Vocalist ANDERS COLSEFNI Says It’s Been ‘Pretty Incredible’ Performing The Songs From ‘Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.’ Again

Anders Colsefni says performing songs from Slipknot’s early album *Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.* again has been “pretty incredible”, though it took preparation to relearn lyrics and rebuild the stamina needed to sing, rap and play drums during the shows. His return matters to fans discovering the band’s early work, including younger listeners who have attended his recent performances.

Colsefni said audiences particularly want to hear “Slipknot”, “Gently”, “Do Nothing” and “Bitchslap”, while “Killers Are Quiet” can stretch to 20 minutes. He described a June 6 hometown crowd spanning children, teenagers and older country fans, and said the performance atmosphere could be hectic but enjoyable. He also revisited a 2024 re-recording made with KAOSIS, saying poor communication and the use of computer-generated parts instead of live musicians left it short of what he expected.
