A black bear and four cubs climbed into a family’s white SUV in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, apparently while searching for food. The family watched the incident in alarm, highlighting the risks of leaving vehicles accessible in an area where bears are active.

Video from the scene showed the bears entering the vehicle and moving around inside it. Black bears commonly seek easy food sources near homes, campsites and parked cars, and wildlife officials generally advise people to keep food secured and avoid approaching the animals.
