An unplanned electrical outage has left approximately 116 households across northern Sheffield without electricity since late morning. The affected communities span a wide geographic area, including neighbourhoods such as Wharncliffe Side, Grenoside, Ecclesfield, and multiple others throughout the region.

Northern Powergrid initiated repair operations by early afternoon, with engineers actively working to restore service. Depending on location, residents could expect electricity to return between mid-evening and late night, with some areas potentially waiting until after 10pm for full restoration.
