Overmono, the Welsh dance-music duo of brothers Tom and Ed Russell, played their biggest headline show to date at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, marking a shift from intimate club sets to full outdoor spectacle. The gig, staged to celebrate the release of their second album, tested how well their anthemic, big-room sound and grandstanding rave melodies translate beyond the dancefloor to a grand open-air setting, with the review noting that some of the intimacy and punch was inevitably lost in the process.

The Grade I-listed, Unesco World Heritage venue provided a visually striking but incongruous backdrop, with lasers lighting up its baroque towers and colonnades. While the sound was clear, reviewers felt some drums lacked the volume to fill the space, leaving the crowd wanting bigger drops at points. Highlights included Freedom 2, their 2023 collaboration with Joy Orbison and Kwengface, a guest appearance from beat poet John Joseph Holt on new track Knight in Shining Prada, a reworked remix of the Streets' Turn the Page, and a euphoric closing rendition of their anthem Good Lies.
