“Ozzy Day” To Be Celebrated in Late Metal Icon’s Hometown of Birmingham, England
Birmingham, England will hold "Ozzy Day" on 22 July 2026 to mark the first anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne's death, honouring the city's most famous musical son with live music, tributes and other events across the city centre. The initiative brings together local businesses, cultural organisations and public spaces, reflecting the enduring pride Birmingham takes in the Black Sabbath frontman and solo star.
The event is being organised in partnership with the Birmingham Business Improvement District and Birmingham City Council, with officials describing it as a citywide tribute to Osbourne's legacy and influence on music. Osbourne died on 22 July 2025, just 17 days after performing his final concert, the "Back to the Beginning" show at Birmingham's Villa Park with both Black Sabbath and as a solo artist.
