‘P-Valley’ to End With Season 3 at Starz

The Hollywood Reporter · 2 hours ago

Starz has confirmed that P-Valley, its acclaimed drama set in a Mississippi strip club, will end with its upcoming third season. The season, premiering 4 December, arrives more than four years after season two concluded, following delays caused by the 2023 US writers' and actors' strikes. Creator Katori Hall said she wanted to end the series "on her own terms" rather than let it run indefinitely, calling the show her meditation on the American Dream.

The nine-episode final run follows the dancers and staff of The Pynk as a new casino opens in the fictional town of Chucalissa, bringing fresh money and fresh trouble. Nicco Annan, Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton and Loretta Devine are among the returning cast, with Hall also directing the first two episodes. Starz's original programming president, Kathryn Busby, praised the show's "boundary-pushing" storytelling as central to the network's identity.
