Pain Of Truth Announce New Self-Titled Album: Hear “Unforgiven”

Stereogum · 4 hours ago

Long Island hardcore band Pain Of Truth have announced their self-titled second album, due out on 25 September via DAZE, alongside a new single and video called "Unforgiven". The record follows their well-received 2023 debut Not Through Blood and a 2025 split with Sunami, and marks a notable stylistic shift for the group as they move away from the heavily guest-featured sound of their earlier work.

The new album was produced by Will Putney, known for his work with Fit For An Autopsy, End, Knocked Loose and Vein, replacing Weekend Nachos' Andy Nelson, who produced the debut. Unlike Not Through Blood, the new self-titled LP contains no guest features, and the single "Unforgiven" reportedly sounds cleaner and more melodic than the band's earlier material while retaining heavy breakdowns. The 11-track album will be supported by a tour, including US dates from July through November and a stop at Tokyo's Bloodaxe Festival in September.
