Pamela Anderson has said she has "no plans" to return to her role as CJ Parker in Fox's forthcoming Baywatch reboot, telling Deadline she wants to "make really bold choices" following her Golden Globe-nominated turn in 2024's The Last Showgirl. She said no one from the production had contacted her directly, though she understood her sons had held preliminary talks about a producing role that did not come to fruition.

Anderson played the lifeguard-turned-saxophonist from 1992 to 1997 and briefly reprised the part for a cameo in the 2017 Baywatch film. The rebooted series, currently filming for a January 2027 premiere, stars Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, now a Baywatch captain following in his father Mitch's footsteps, alongside Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison and others, with David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak returning to their original roles. Matt Nix serves as showrunner, with McG directing the premiere episode.
