Paramount+ Officially Rediscovers Walton Goggins’ Indiana Jones Replacement
The 2018 film Tomb Raider, starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, has returned to Paramount+’s global top 10, according to FlixPatrol. Its renewed visibility comes as interest in video-game adaptations remains high and Amazon prepares a new Tomb Raider television reboot led by Sophie Turner.
Directed by Roar Uthaug, the film presented a grittier origin story than the Angelina Jolie films and drew more closely on the modern games, including the Trinity organisation. It earned $247 million worldwide against an estimated $106 million budget, with Walton Goggins playing antagonist Mathias Vogel alongside Dominic West, Daniel Wu and Kristin Scott Thomas.
