Paramount’s Channel 5 will broadcast a 60-minute documentary examining Nigel Farage’s finances after his re-election in the Clacton by-election. The programme matters because it focuses on longstanding scrutiny of the Reform UK leader’s donors, outside income and alleged undeclared donations.

Nigel Farage: Where Does the Money Come From? will air on 22 August at 9.30am BST and is produced by ITN Productions. Channel 5 says it will examine reports that Farage has received more than £2 million in outside income since entering Parliament in 2024, alongside earlier career earnings; it will also consider donations and gifts linked to crypto financiers, including a Parliamentary Standards Commission inquiry concerning an alleged £5 million donation. Farage won the by-election with 22,232 votes, ahead of Count Binface’s 9,455, after other major parties declined to field candidates.
