Paramount+’s Masterpiece Spy Thriller Is an Undisputed Sleeper Hit
Paramount+'s streaming charts remain largely dominated by Taylor Sheridan's franchise shows, with *Special Ops: Lioness* Season 3 currently topping the global rankings alongside other Sheridan titles such as *Yellowstone*, *Dutton Ranch* and *Tulsa King*. Amid this, spy thriller *The Agency* has quietly proven one of the platform's most durable performers, maintaining strong viewership for over two months since its second season debuted without matching the promotional push given to Sheridan's shows.
*The Agency* premiered in 2024 to mixed critical reviews (66% on Rotten Tomatoes) but built a solid audience over its ten-episode first run, earning a renewal. Its second season, released in full on 21 June, was far better received, scoring 92% with critics and 93% with audiences, and expanded the story across multiple continents. Although it has slipped from its peak chart position, the show was still ranked eighth by FlixPatrol at the time of writing, and unlike after Season 1, Paramount+ has yet to release official viewership figures or confirm a renewal.
- *The Agency* Season 2 is a sleeper hit on Paramount+
- Critic and audience scores jumped to over 90% for Season 2
- No renewal or viewership figures confirmed yet
