Spotify has introduced a global setting allowing parents to stop their children’s music from influencing their personal recommendations and annual Wrapped results. The feature matters because it lets family accounts remain useful for children while ensuring services such as Discover Weekly, Daily Mix and Wrapped better represent the parent’s own listening habits.

Available to both Free and Premium users, the setting covers children’s and family music, including film soundtracks, nursery rhymes, educational songs and parody tracks. It applies retrospectively, removing previous qualifying streams from features such as top-song and top-artist rankings; Spotify says the move is part of wider efforts to give parents and guardians more control over shared listening.
