Edge Early Learning, an Australian childcare provider with around 70 centres across Queensland, South Australia and the ACT, has entered voluntary administration, leaving many families uncertain about the future of their children's care. The company said the development might be "confusing and stressful" for the families who rely on it, and pledged to work with management to limit disruption to services during the process.

Centres will continue to operate on a "business as usual" basis for now, with fees remaining unchanged, though the company acknowledged that some activities may need to be reviewed or adjusted while administration proceeds. Craig Shepard, David Johnstone and Stacey Clisby of KordaMentha have been appointed as voluntary administrators and said further updates would follow once they had assessed the group's financial position and options. The Daily Mail has sought comment from Edge Early Learning and from Australia's Minister for Early Childhood Education, Jess Walsh.
