Parsons hat-trick as Irish seal South Africa series win

Ireland beat South Africa in Cape Town to secure a historic Test series win, following up their victory the previous week with another six-try performance. Beibhinn Parsons scored a hat-trick as Ireland recovered from falling behind in the final 20 minutes to win the bruising encounter.

Captain Erin King and Aoife Dalton, who scored twice, also crossed for Ireland; Dannah O’Brien added four conversions. South Africa’s tries came from Unam Tose, Sizophila Solontsi and Vainah Ubisi, with Jakkie Cilliers converting once. Ireland became the first Irish side to win back-to-back Tests in South Africa, while Parsons took her international tally to 29 tries in 40 caps.
