A new YouGov poll has found that Pauline Hanson's One Nation has overtaken the governing Labor Party to become Australia's most popular party by primary vote, marking a significant shift in the country's political landscape. The survey, conducted between 1 and 8 September, put One Nation on 30 per cent support, ahead of Labor on 26 per cent and the Liberal-National Coalition trailing in third on just 18 per cent, suggesting growing disillusionment with the two major parties.

One Nation's primary vote rose four points while Labor fell three points and the Coalition dropped three points since the previous poll. Despite this, Labor retains a narrow two-party-preferred lead over the Coalition of 52 to 48 per cent, and leads One Nation directly by 53 to 47 per cent, though this margin has narrowed by three points. One Nation performed particularly strongly among men (32 per cent) and voters aged 50 and over (38 per cent), while Labor and the Greens remained more competitive among younger and female voters.
