Peacock has acquired a new documentary series about the enduring popularity of NBC's *The Office*, with the six-part series set to premiere on the streaming platform on 7 September 2026. Directed by Shawn Cauthen, *Fan Level Midnight: Devoted to The Office* traces how the American adaptation of the workplace comedy overcame early ratings struggles to become one of the most beloved sitcoms of its generation, while also exploring the devoted fanbase that has sustained its popularity long after it left air.

The series combines new interviews with figures including former NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly, director Paul Feig, and cast members Andy Buckley and Leslie David Baker, alongside archival footage of stars such as Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischer. It covers pivotal moments in the show's run, including the fight to keep it on air, the development of Michael Scott's character, standout episodes like "Diversity Day", and the impact of Carell's exit. The documentary's release will precede the second season of *The Paper*, a related NBC series debuting on 9 September, while director Cauthen is also working on a forthcoming documentary about *Friday Night Lights*.
