Peacock has confirmed that its new comedy series "Dig" will premiere on 23 November, reuniting Amy Poehler with former "Parks and Recreation" executive producer Michael Schur. The ten-episode series follows a team of archaeologists and college students excavating a site in Greece who unearth a rare artefact, drawing them into a high-stakes international conspiracy with the potential to rewrite history.

The show is adapted from Kate Myers' bestselling novel "Excavations" and is produced by Universal Television. Poehler and Schur co-wrote the pilot and executive produce alongside J.J. Philbin, who also co-showruns. The cast is led by Poehler as Elise and Hugh Laurie as Neville, a British archaeology professor, with Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas and Fina Strazza also starring, and Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing and Bonita Friedericy in guest roles.
