Percy Hynes White and Jeff Wahlberg will lead Crime Novella, a romance crime-thriller about two lovers fleeing together and confronting the lengths required to preserve their relationship. The film marks writer-director Omar de Soto’s feature debut, with Roland Emmerich serving as executive producer.
The cast also includes Zlatko Burić, Bobby Soto and Ava del Cielo. Shot on 35mm film, production concluded this summer across Albuquerque, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Mexico; producers describe it as a modern, transgressive successor to Badlands and Wild at Heart.
