Petlibro’s new AI-powered feeder is a game changer for multi-cat homes

TechCrunch · 10 hours ago

Petlibro’s Granary 2 range adds AI-powered monitoring to automatic dry-food feeders, aiming to help owners understand not just when food is dispensed, but how much each cat actually eats. The technology is particularly relevant to multi-cat households, where pets may have different diets, portion requirements or health needs.

The four models cost between $129.99 and $249.99; the tested $189.99 Granary 2 Vision can recognise up to 10 cats using a 1080p camera with night vision. Its built-in scale measures food dispensed and left in the bowl, while the app tracks intake, eating duration, frequency, speed and longer-term changes; feeding can be scheduled or managed through smaller automatic refills.

  • AI identifies individual cats and tracks their meals.
  • Built-in scales estimate how much food each pet eats.
  • Prices range from $129.99 to $249.99.
