Phil Collins reveals the one thing that’s preventing him from touring again
Phil Collins says the main obstacle to touring again is the practical and financial challenge of going on the road for only a small number of shows. Although he sometimes feels he has not finished performing, he says his upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction could be a fitting end to his career.
Collins said he now feels well enough to tour and still has musical ideas and partly completed work in his home studio. He turns 75 this year and will be inducted as a solo artist on 14 November, 16 years after Genesis entered the Hall of Fame; he says sharing the honour with his children will make it especially meaningful.
In short
- Collins says touring is financially impractical for a short run.
