Photographs of four adults accused of murdering a newborn baby in Sheffield have been published as the case proceeds through the courts, following a police investigation that has drawn widespread public attention. The infant, referred to in court as Baby S, was found dead in an outbuilding in the Wincobank area of the city, and the disturbing nature of her injuries has shocked the local community, though the allegations against those charged remain untested at this early stage of proceedings.
Court proceedings heard that the baby had suffered 33 injuries in total, including 15 stab wounds, and was discovered in an outbuilding on Holywell Heights on 30 August. Four adult defendants, aged 19, 20, 37 and 38, face charges of murder, causing or allowing a child's death, and perverting the course of justice, while a 15-year-old girl has been separately charged with perverting the course of justice. All four adults have been remanded in custody as the case moves towards further hearings.

Sheffield's Wincobank area is the scene of a police investigation after the body of a newborn girl, known publicly as Baby S, was found in an outbuilding on Holywell Heights on 30 August.
