Firefighters tackled a serious blaze at a pizza takeaway and the flats above it on Chesterfield Road, Heeley, Sheffield. The incident forced nearby residents, including families with young children, to leave their homes temporarily while emergency services worked to contain the fire.

Seven fire engines and a turntable ladder attended, with crews using water from above and searching the building for possible casualties. One person was taken to hospital, an air ambulance was called, and the road was closed to traffic and pedestrians while police and firefighters remained at the scene; an investigation was planned once the fire was extinguished.
