Plaud has launched Plaud One, AI-focused earphones whose charging case supports eSIM connectivity, allowing users to interact with AI agents without relying on a phone or computer. The product reflects growing competition in AI note-taking hardware, but it may struggle to persuade people to replace established wireless earbuds paired with existing transcription apps.

The earphones can record calls and meetings, while the case can capture nearby conversations within five metres; Plaud says they offer up to 25 hours of recording with the case. Features include 12mm drivers, active noise cancellation, 300 free transcription minutes each month, and subscriptions from $8.33 monthly when paid annually. Plaud plans a limited release to test demand and says buyers will receive $200 of credits for forthcoming agent-based tasks.
