Tens of thousands of users worldwide reported problems on Down Detector on Friday, while Sony’s status page later showed all affected services operating normally. The issues emerged around the time Amazon Web Services reported server problems, although it is unclear whether the incidents were connected; Sony had not commented when the BBC published the article.
