Sony has announced the July 2026 additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers, with Rise of the Ronin leading the update. The announcement matters because it expands the higher-tier subscription library with several notable titles across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, reinforcing Sony’s effort to compete with services such as Xbox Game Pass.

The new games are being added on staggered dates, starting with Rise of the Ronin on 15 July for US subscribers. Other arrivals include Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Firefighting Simulator: Ignite on 21 July, followed by Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, Dying Light, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector and Snow Bros. Wonderland on 28 July. Premium-only additions on 21 July are Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Indigo Prophecy, while the separate July 2026 Essential games line-up includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
