Pokémon artist Tayu will make their trading card game debut in the forthcoming Delta Reign set with an embroidered female Nidoran card. The artwork stands out for bringing a tactile textile style to the Pokémon TCG, joining the tradition of collectors favouring cards illustrated through media such as clay, yarn and cardboard.

Delta Reign is due to launch on 6 November alongside the Pokémon TCG’s 30th-anniversary collection and is themed around Rayquaza. Tayu previously finished as a runner-up in the 2024 Pokémon illustration contest with an embroidered Feraligatr, while the new set also includes established artists and sought-after secret rare cards featuring Pokémon such as Growlithe, Groudon and Kecleon.
