Nintendo's Korean operations have introduced a physical packaging option for the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass on Switch 2, offering a game case bundled with a download code rather than a cartridge. Pre-orders began this week through the local Nintendo Store, with the packaged release set for September 10, 2026.

This distribution method sits between traditional cartridge releases and pure digital sales. The Expansion Pass launched earlier this month alongside the Bubbly Basin DLC and a major software update, with further instalments scheduled throughout 2026 and into 2027. At present, Nintendo has made no announcement regarding availability of this physical packaging outside South Korea.
