Suggestions range from a Johto-themed area arriving in Pokopia's third expansion in 2027, to a Johto-set entry in the Let's Go series following 2018's Pikachu & Eevee, to Nintendo Switch ports of the 2009 remakes Heart Gold and Soul Silver, similar to February's Fire Red and Leaf Green re-release. Others speculate about fully modern Johto remakes akin to Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, or a Reddit theory that legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh and Lugia could become recruitable in Pokopia. Nintendo has offered no official clarification, and the post may simply be routine promotion for Pokopia rather than a hint at anything new.
