The Pokémon Company International abruptly ended its Pin Rally activity at the 2026 Pokémon World Championships and Pokémon XP in San Francisco a day earlier than scheduled, cutting off the popular collectible hunt on the final morning of the event. The rally, one of the weekend's most sought-after attractions, invited attendees to collect twelve exclusive pins from stations across the Moscone Center, but soaring demand led to overcrowding, chaotic queues and reports of altercations among fans.

Organisers expanded the pin programme this year to 12 stations and 300,000 free pins after trading proved the second most popular activity at the previous Worlds, but the surge in interest overwhelmed capacity. Collider observed extremely long lines spilling beyond designated areas, including into fire exit zones, with staff repeatedly redirecting attendees who continued to gather regardless. Unverified reports also described physical altercations breaking out among fans in the queues. The Pokémon Company has not given an official reason for the early shutdown, simply confirming by email on Sunday, 30 August, that the activity had concluded ahead of the championship's final day.
