A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Tony Jones, 56, who was killed during a mass brawl between rival Hells Angels and Vikings motorcycle gangs in Pontnewynydd, south Wales. Mr Jones, from Brecon, was found with serious injuries in an alleyway on 6 August and given first aid by residents before dying in hospital. His family have paid tribute to him as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, describing the profound loss felt after his violent death.

Police say the brawl, which took place opposite a children's playground, involved weapons including machetes, chains and metal bars, and two other people were also hospitalised. A total of 25 men aged between 18 and 73 have been arrested in connection with the violent disorder, with six remaining in custody and 19 released on bail pending further inquiries. Police had appealed for information on the whereabouts of Anthony Paul Jones, 40, believed to have been driving a blue Ford Transit van, before confirming the van had been found and a man of that age arrested. Social media images suggest Mr Jones may have had links to the Hells Angels, including a tattoo reading "AFFA" ("Angels forever, forever angels").
