Police issue major Andrew Epstein probe update involving two royal estates
Norfolk Police say their review of documents released by the US Department of Justice found no evidence warranting a criminal investigation into visits linked to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Jeffrey Epstein at Sandringham. The update addresses allegations and reports about Epstein’s time at the estate, while a separate national review of documents concerning RAF Marham remains under way.
Reports have linked Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to Sandringham in 2000, and a 2019 bank document listed the estate among Epstein’s addresses. Norfolk Police said it had worked with the UK’s national coordination group and had received no allegations. Thames Valley Police said it was pursuing reasonable lines of enquiry concerning Windsor Castle; Andrew was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, released after questioning and has not been charged. He denies wrongdoing.
In short
- Norfolk Police found no grounds for a criminal probe over Sandringham.
- The national review of documents about RAF Marham is ongoing.
- Thames Valley Police says it is pursuing reasonable lines of enquiry.
