Post Malone Postpones Tour of Asia, Australia and New Zealand

Billboard ·

Post Malone has postponed the Asian, Australian and New Zealand leg of his Big Ass World Tour, cancelling planned stadium dates and festival appearances later this year. No reason has been given, and replacement dates have not yet been announced, leaving ticket-holders awaiting further information from Live Nation and organisers.

The affected itinerary included concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland between 9 and 21 October, plus three Strummingbird Festival headline sets in Ballarat, Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast. Ticketmaster has removed the Australian dates, while the Auckland show is marked cancelled; the postponement would have been Malone’s first major Australasian tour since 2023.

Post Malone is an American singer and songwriter whose music blends hip-hop, pop and rock. He became widely known with songs such as “Rockstar” and “Circles”, and has built a large international following through albums, tours and festival performances.

A tour brings an artist to a series of venues in different cities, while festivals feature several acts on a shared programme. Live Nation promotes concerts and tours, and ticketing companies and local organisers handle bookings and event information. When dates change, ticket-holders generally need to check with the relevant seller or organiser for details about their tickets.

Australasia is an important touring market for international performers, with large venues and festivals across Australia and New Zealand. Malone’s previous major tour there was in 2023, so the affected events were a notable return for audiences in the region.
