Michael Winterbottom is answering readers’ questions to mark the 24th anniversary of his film *24 Hour Party People*, which returns to UK cinemas. The 2002 film follows Manchester’s music scene from the Sex Pistols’ 1976 gig through Factory Records and the Madchester era, before Oasis became internationally prominent.

Winterbottom’s work spans television and films including *Welcome to Sarajevo*, *Wonderland* and *A Cock and Bull Story*, as well as *The Trip* series with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. A fifth instalment, *The Trip to the Northern Lights*, is in production; readers can submit questions by 6pm on Sunday 4 October. *24 Hour Party People* returns to UK cinemas on 9 October and is due on 4K UHD disc on 26 October.
