Australia’s Powerball jackpot rolls over to $60 million after fourth draw without a winner

Daily Mail ·

Australia’s Powerball jackpot has risen to $60 million after Thursday’s draw produced no division one winner for the fourth consecutive week. The prize will roll over to next week, and a single winner would claim the second-largest Australian lottery prize awarded so far this year.

Draw 1585 took place on 1 October, with winning numbers 16, 3, 10, 24, 2, 11 and 6, plus Powerball 14. Ten division two winners received $73,060.70 each, while 78 division three winners received $11,585.20 each; division one winners have collected $386 million in 2026 so far.

  • No one won division one in the fourth straight draw.
  • Next week’s jackpot is $60 million.
  • The draw had 10 division two winners and 78 in division three.

Australia's Powerball is a weekly national lottery game operated throughout the country. Players select numbers and win prizes depending on how many of their choices match the official draw results, with the top prize (division one) requiring all six main numbers plus the Powerball number to be matched.

When no one wins division one in a weekly draw, the unclaimed prize money does not disappear—instead, it rolls over to the following week's draw, adding to that week's division one jackpot. This process can continue for multiple weeks running, progressively increasing the top prize as draws pass without a division one winner.

Large lottery jackpots attract considerable public attention and encourage greater participation, even though the odds of winning division one remain extremely low regardless of how large the prize becomes. Players can still win smaller prizes in other divisions each week, with prizes distributed to those who match fewer numbers than required for division one.
