Explained simply
Electric guitar amplifiers make a guitar’s sound louder and shape its tone. Practice models are designed for home use, where players may want a range of sounds without the size and volume of equipment used for rehearsals or performances.
BOSS is a musical equipment brand, and the Katana is one of its amplifier ranges. The Katana-25 is a small, 25-watt model with a built-in speaker and digital effects, features that let players adjust their sound without connecting lots of separate equipment.
Its lower-power and headphone options are relevant for practising at home, while saved settings and connections to music or editing software offer other ways to use it. The model sits in a market of compact practice amps aimed at guitarists seeking varied sounds in a home setup.
