Sabrina Fuentes, the artist behind Pretty Sick, has released "City Kid", the latest single from her forthcoming album Anarchy, out 11 September on Dirty Hit. The project has evolved considerably from its origins as a fuzzy New York grunge band a decade ago, now embracing a hazy hyperpop sound crafted with London producer Oscar Scheller, known for his work with PinkPantheress, Lily Allen and Kelela.

Scheller produced and co-wrote "City Kid" with Fuentes, pairing distorted synths and heavy trap drums with deadpan vocals reflecting on growing up in New York. Fuentes said the track explores the benefits and drawbacks of an unconventional, fast-paced upbringing and forms part of a broader effort in her music to make sense of her past. The accompanying video, directed by Nolan Zangas, shows her wandering her home city in distorted digital footage, alternating between glammed-up looks and pushing a pram. It follows earlier Anarchy singles "Star", "home2hide" and "UrNewImTrue".
