The Prince of Wales made a surprise guest appearance on Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast, in an episode released just hours before Travis Kelce married Taylor Swift. During the conversation, William discussed England football fans, the World Cup and jokingly warned the NFL stars about the drinking prowess of British beer fans. However, much of the attention afterwards focused on the room behind him, which fans speculated was his Windsor residence, Forest Lodge, offering a rare glimpse into his interior tastes.

Observers picked out several items on display, each with apparent personal significance. These included a large gold-framed oil painting of Windsor Castle in the snow, viewed from Eton, where William was schooled and where Prince George will start in September; a navy blue cabinet with a light wooden top against panelled walls; a copy of Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet, for which William wrote the foreword; and a pale Jamaican "Yabba pot" vase gifted to the late Queen Elizabeth II for her Golden Jubilee in 2002. Timing references in the episode suggested it was recorded around 17 June, the day William attended Royal Ascot.
