Former HMP Lindholme officer Morgan Farr Varney has been jailed for misconduct in public office after an inappropriate relationship with a prisoner described as the “Latvian Pablo Escobar”. Farr Varney, 24, admitted forming an intimate relationship with the convicted drug dealer while working at the Doncaster prison. CCTV showed the pair entering a cupboard together, while love letters and photographs were later found; she was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court to 10 months’ imprisonment after pleading guilty.
