Former NFL running back Miles Sanders was arrested in June in Churchill Borough, Pennsylvania, on allegations of driving under the influence, according to court records and a criminal complaint. The case concerns a player who made the Pro Bowl in 2022 and most recently played for the Dallas Cowboys in 2025; he remains a free agent.

Police reportedly found Sanders slumped in the driver’s seat of a Lexus stopped in the middle of William Penn Highway and said he appeared lethargic and intermittently conscious. He admitted drinking earlier that day, officers reported signs of alcohol impairment and marijuana was found in the vehicle; he pleaded guilty to unregistered-vehicle and illegal-parking offences, while a preliminary hearing for careless driving and DUI is set for 23 September. Sanders has 4,462 rushing yards and 24 rushing touchdowns across 88 NFL games.
