Sony has confirmed that Big Walk, the next game from House House, the Australian studio behind Untitled Goose Game, and Push Me Pull You, will join PlayStation Plus Essential as a day-one release in August 2026. The rest of the month's PS Plus Essential lineup is expected to be revealed separately, with all titles going live on Tuesday, 4 August. The inclusion marks a notable addition for subscribers, offering a distinctive cooperative title from a well-regarded indie studio at launch.

Big Walk is described by its developers as a game "about talking to your friends", built around long-form cooperative play designed to be enjoyed with the same group across multiple sessions rather than with strangers. It supports cross-play and will also release on Mac, Nintendo Switch 2 and Windows PC. Subscribers can still claim July's Essential games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2 and CrossCode, until 3 August, while PS Plus Essential itself costs $79.99 a year, $27.99 for three months, or $10.99 monthly following May's price rise.
