PSA: Modern Warfare 4’s Switch 2 Retail Version Is A Code-In-A-Box
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s Switch 2 retail edition will contain only a download code, rather than a game cartridge. An Amazon listing confirms the format, which means buyers will need to download the game and cannot rely on a complete physical copy.
The game is due to launch in October, with open beta access on Switch 2 beginning on 28 August. It will be the first Call of Duty title on a Nintendo platform in 13 years, and includes campaign and multiplayer modes; multiplayer is expected to receive regular updates.
