PUBG live-action series in the works at Netflix, with Donald Glover set to direct and star

Netflix is developing a live-action series based on PUBG, with Donald Glover set to direct, write, executive produce and star. The adaptation brings the battle royale game to television, extending a franchise credited with helping popularise the genre.

Krafton announced the project on 30 October. Glover’s brother and Atlanta writing partner Stephen Glover will write and executive produce; other executive producers include representatives from Neon TV, Gilga and Krafton’s entertainment arm, LV3H, which is also developing and producing the series. No release date, plot details or further cast members have been announced. Krafton says PUBG holds seven Guinness World Records.
