Pulp announce one-off hometown pop-up at Hallamshire Hotel to celebrate Sheffield Walk Of Fame
Pulp will hold a one-day pop-up at Sheffield’s Hallamshire Hotel on 30 October to celebrate being added to the Sheffield Walk of Fame. The event brings the band’s hometown recognition together with a venue closely tied to its history: the hotel hosted Pulp’s first pub gig in 1980.
Nick Banks and Candida Doyle are due to attend a meet and greet from midday to 1pm, while the hotel displays posters and artwork from the band’s archive. A limited-edition merchandise shop will run from noon to 8pm, or until stock sells out; Pulp’s Walk of Fame addition is scheduled for 2pm. From 5.50pm, the pop-up will also host a quiz, raffle, karaoke and fancy-dress competition. The event follows Pulp’s first album in 24 years, *More*, and the release of a film documenting two sold-out London shows.

- Pulp will celebrate its Sheffield Walk of Fame honour on 30 October.
- The pop-up is at the Hallamshire Hotel, the site of the band’s first pub gig.
