Pulsar has announced the X2F CrazyLight, an ultra-light gaming mouse that removes the rear half of a conventional mouse body. The unusual fingertip-only design is intended to reduce weight and give competitive players quicker, more precise control, though it will suit only users comfortable without palm support.

The mouse is due to launch on 28 September and weighs 29g, down from the original X2F’s 38g. It uses Pulsar’s XS2 sensor, a Nordic 54L15 microcontroller, optical switches, a TTC Gold scroll-wheel encoder and a 210mAh battery. Its short, symmetrical shape retains side buttons and supports large mouse skates.
