Quality Control Co-Founder Pierre “P” Thomas Hospitalized Following Heart Attack
Quality Control co-founder Pierre "P" Thomas has been hospitalised after suffering a heart attack, the record label and management company confirmed via social media on Friday. Thomas, who co-founded the influential hip-hop company with Kevin "Coach K" Lee in 2013, is being treated in intensive care at a hospital in Las Vegas, with family members by his side, according to TMZ. Quality Control's statement asked for privacy for Thomas and his family while thanking supporters for their concern.
Quality Control built a roster including Migos, Cardi B, City Girls, Lil Baby and Lil Yachty, becoming one of hip-hop's most significant label and management operations. The company was sold in 2023 for roughly $300 million (£235 million) to Hybe America, then led by Scooter Braun, in a partnership Lee described at the time as aimed at achieving the company's "global ambitions". No further details on Thomas's condition or prognosis have been released.
