Jack'd, the largest dating app for queer people of colour in the United States, is launching its inaugural film festival to celebrate original films by queer creators, with particular emphasis on stories that centre the experiences of queer people of colour. The festival aims to provide a platform for queer filmmakers to share their narratives directly with audiences whilst giving the community an active role in celebrating emerging talent.

The festival will run from 2 November to 3 December, with a submission deadline of 21 October, and features judges including RuPaul's Drag Race star TS Madison and Pose's Dyllón Burnside. The competition offers a $20,000 prize pool, with both grand jury and audience choice award winners receiving $10,000 each; participation is free for Jack'd app users, who can vote in-app for their favourite films, and both short and full-length entries are eligible.
